Apple’s ‘invitation’ to job seekers through its website

NEW DELHI: There are certain companies that are always on top of the list of “dream jobs”. Quite a few of them are in the technology sector and Apple does hold a certain appeal for job seekers of all kinds. The Cupertino-based tech giant is now giving an insight into what’s it like to work for the company. Apple has revamped its “About Apple” page – mainly the Jobs section — on the company website. “Join a worldwide company that reflects the whole wide world,” or “Come work where sentences start with ‘what if…” are some of the messages the company is sending out to prospective job seekers.

Not only that, there is a video which has Apple employees talking about how it is to work for the company. Employees working on different products like the Apple Watch or those working in Apple stores tell how and what makes Apple a great place to work at. Talking about equal opportunities, there’s a message on the site which says, “Apple is open. We believe humanity is plural, not singular. The best way the world works is everybody in. Nobody out.”

The page describes in detail how and what kind of work different teams at Apple do. Be it the software, marketing or retail, Apple is giving a glimpse into almost every department of the brand. The webpage now also has a better search option to help people look for the job they are interested in.

Clearly, Apple is inviting job seekers and telling them that that there’s nothing like working for the company.

Speaking of invites, Apple recently sent out media invites for an event it is holding on October 30 in New York. While there’s no official confirmation about what the company will launch, the invite reads, “There’s more in the making.” Rumour mills have gone in overdrive speculating about what Apple may launch. It is rumoured that we can expect to see newer versions of the iPad, MacBook devices and perhaps the Mac Mini.
